Pier 50 Fish & Chippery in Victoria

"The fish is fresh and perfectly cooked, batter is light and crispy, chips are perfect and the smashed potato cakes are to die for. The shop is clean, service is friendly and I love that the food is wrapped just in butchers paper the traditional way. Verdict from family is that this is the best fish and chips, and even though we aren't exactly local to Pier 50 I think we will still be regulars! Looking forward to coming back and trying more menu items including the burgers"

"Nothing but the best to say about this place. Ron is the friendliest person you could ever meet and I can safely say these are the best fish and chips I have tried in Victoria, no doubt. I ordered a flake with chips and a drink and 2 potato cakes. The batter on the flake and the potato cakes was inexplicably delicious. If you are anywhere near Ringwood, Victoria, this place is a must visit. And the prices are worth every single cent you spend here. Honestly this meal I got (with a drink) was just $17.80 and is easily shareable between two people. I wouldn’t share though because it’s that good! "Love the crispy fish and potato cakes! One of the best in Melbourne! Generous portion with extra 4 crispy cakes! The burger is worth to try! The lovely owner even offered to cut the fish fillet into 4 pieces so each of us got a small bite. He even give super dooper to kiddos after meals. We definitely will come back again."

"We came for the smashed potato cakes after seeing a YouTube recommendation. We were not disappointed. Highly recommend them. We also shared a fried flake (which the owner cut in half and battered separately for us), chips and battered dim sims. All really good. We ate in and received really good service. The owner was very friendly and the food was great."
